How to Upgrade Tail Air Smart Remote Controller
- The Tail Air Smart Remote Controller is tailored for Tail Series cameras. Please pair it with either OBSBOT Tail 2 or Tail Air before upgrading. This guide will use Tail 2 as an example, and the steps for Tail Air are similar.
- Before upgrading, ensure the battery level of the remote controller is above 30%.
- When upgrading via MicroSD card, please keep the card inserted in the camera and ensure it has enough space for the firmware file.
- The update process will take 3-4 minutes. Do not turn off the remote controller or disconnect from the network during the upgrade.
- Once the upgrade is complete, reconnect the remote controller to the camera.

1.1 Check Version
Confirm that your OBSBOT Center has been updated to the latest version.
1.2 Connect with Camera
Open the OBSBOT Center app on your computer and connect it with Tail 2.

Long-press the Human Tracking and Number Buttons together for 3 seconds to pair the controller with Tail 2. During the pairing process, the status indicator of the controller keeps flashing blue.
Once the pairing is successful, the Number Button on the Tail Air Smart Remote Controller turns green. Each number represents a different camera. The remote controller supports up to 3 camera connections.
1.5 Auto Upgrade
Navigate to "More" > "External Device" > "Firmware Version" to click the "Update" button. Then OBSBOT Center will detect the latest available firmware of the controller and install it automatically.
