How to Switch or Lock Beauty Effects for Multiple Cameras

If you use multiple cameras and want to adjust your beauty effects — either to make them follow the camera you're currently using or lock them to one specific camera — follow these simple settings.

After connecting multiple cameras, the Beauty Settings window will automatically display the device selection drop-down menu. Choose whether Beauty Effects apply globally ("Program") or only to the specific device ("Device").

  • When "Program" is selected, Beauty Effects automatically switch when you change the control camera device in OBSBOT Center.
  • When "Device" is selected, effects apply only to the chosen device and remain unchanged even if you switch the control camera view in OBSBOT Center.

Part 2: Start Virtual Camera

Important: The Beauty Effects require using the Virtual Camera output and are limited to one camera device at a time.

If you're using a single device, click the "symbol" icon to begin outputting the video signal.

If you have more than one device, follow the methods below to start Virtual Camera.

Step 1: Click the "symbol" icon at the top of the OBSBOT Center main interface to access the Output Settings interface.

Step 2: Alternatively, in the Video Preview interface, click the "symbol" icon at the bottom to access the Output Settings interface.

Step 3: Select the Output scope.

  • Choosing "Program" means the Virtual Camera output automatically switches when you change the selected camera device in OBSBOT Center.
  • Choosing "Device" means the Virtual Camera outputs the feed from your selected camera, and this output source is locked and cannot be changed once the Virtual Camera starts.

Caution: Ensure the Output Scope setting for the Virtual Camera matches the setting in the Beauty Settings. Mismatched settings may cause the effects to not work properly.

Step 4: Click the "Start Virtual Camera" icon to begin outputting the video signal.
