OBSBOT UVC to NDI Adapter July Firmware Upgrade

We are pleased to introduce the latest firmware upgrade for the OBSBOT UVC to NDI Adapter. This upgrade brings enhanced streaming flexibility with RTSP, intuitive video management with the refreshed Album feature, improved compatibility with Tail Air, and upgraded support for NDI 6. These advancements ensure superior performance and greater control for all your live streaming and video management needs. Let's learn more about these new features:

1. Streaming Flexibility with RTSP

OBSBOT UVC to NDI Adapter introduces an RTSP feature, mirroring Tail Air's RTSP functionality for seamless live stream management. Users can now open/off RTSP Mode through IP Video Stream in Web UI for greater control and flexibility in streaming setups. RTSP functionality offers a robust live audio and video transportation protocol over IP networks.

2. Intuitive Video Management with Album

The refreshed album feature excels in video organization and accessibility. With the ability to manage, download, delete, and preview video (the video quality can be up to 720p while previewed, but the downloaded video quality will still be the original recorded quality), creators can now manage media libraries with unprecedented ease, enhancing the overall workflow for content creation and distribution.

*Only in the latest firmware version, the recorded video will display the recording duration and image quality information. However, if the file was recorded before the firmware update, this information will not be shown, and the previewed image quality is not 720p but the original recorded video quality, which may cause network lag.

3. Enhanced Compatibility With Tail Air

With the new firmware upgrade, the OBSBOT UVC to NDI Adapter has enhanced compatibility with Tail Air. Previously limited to PTZ controls, the upgrade now enables a broader range of functionalities, offering users an enhanced and more integrated experience.

*Before connecting Tail Air to UVC to NDI Adapter, you need to open the UVC mode of Tail Air on Obsbot Start or OBSBOT Center.

*The Tail Air's higher power requirements mean that the UVC to NDI Adapter might experience power supply issues if connected to a charger with insufficient power, potentially leading to device reboots. It is recommended to use a charger that supports the PD protocol at a minimum of 15W (the OBSBOT Quick Charger is recommended). 

4. Productive Work with NDI 6

The upgrade to NDI 6 offers substantial improvements for the OBSBOT UVC to NDI Adapter, enhancing the professional and quality aspects of live streaming.
