Important Update: NDI Integration for OBSBOT Tail 2 & Tail Air

Dear OBSBOT Community,

We're writing to share an important update about NDI availability for our OBSBOT Tail 2 and Tail Air products. These changes reflect our commitment to streamlining our product offerings and strengthening our partnership with NDI to deliver professional-grade streaming solutions.

What's Changing Starting January 1, 2026

Beginning January 1, 2026, we're introducing a new approach to how NDI functionality is offered on our products:

• NDI Edition Models: Starting January 1, 2026, we will offer OBSBOT Tail 2 and Tail Air NDI Edition models available worldwide, with NDI pre-activated right out of the box—no extra setup or activation required
• End of Separate Add-On Sales: NDI License Key will no longer be available as a separate add-on purchase after December 31, 2026. Any standard Tail 2 or Tail Air devices (non-NDI versions) that have not been activated with an NDI license key before this deadline will no longer support NDI activation.

Important Information for Current Tail 2 & Tail Air Owners

If you purchased your OBSBOT Tail 2  or Tail Air (non-NDI version) and have not yet activated NDI, you can still add NDI functionality to your device:

• NDI activation codes remain available for purchase until December 31, 2026
• Devices can be activated with the NDI License Key until December 31, 2026
• After December 31, 2026, unused activation codes will expire and no longer work
• Action recommended: If you're considering an NDI solution, purchase and activate your code before the December 31, 2026, deadline

Why We're Making This Change

This transition to NDI Edition models serves multiple important purposes. It standardizes our product lineup, making it easier for customers to understand what they're getting when they choose OBSBOT. More importantly, it demonstrates our commitment to supporting professional workflows that depend on NDI technology.

We're incredibly proud of our ongoing collaboration with NDI and excited to be part of the NDI ecosystem. This change allows us to bring this powerful, industry-standard technology directly to our users in a more integrated way.

Timeline Summary

• January 1, 2026: NDI Edition models launch with pre-activated NDI
• Through December 31, 2026: NDI License Keys are still available for devices purchased before January 1, 2026
• After December 31, 2026: No more separate NDI purchases; unused NDI License Keys become inactive
